Sam Vallen

Sam Vallen is an Australian guitarist, producer, songwriter, and music educator based in Brisbane, Australia. He formed Caligula’s Horse as a solo project in early 2011 before it evolved around the writing partnership of Vallen and vocalist, Jim Grey.

Sam, known as the guitarist and primary songwriter of Caligula's Horse, brings a unique blend of technical skill and emotional depth to the band's music. Vallen's compositions often push the boundaries of progressive metal, incorporating complex structures that both challenge and invigorate listeners.
