Riff Playbooks: Closure In Moscow Vol. 2 | Manny
Introduction
Closure In Moscow; talented, handsome, Australian - what more could you ask for? For those of you who aren't aware, Closure In Moscow are a fantastic prog rock band from Melbourne, Australia. Less concerned with the more virtuoso tendencies that the genre is synonymous with, the band fill that prog framework with leanings of classic R&B, funk, and indie rock. If you're looking for serious musicianship delivered in a fun and upbeat package, look no further. Last year, Sheet Happens sat down with guitarists, Michael Barrett and Mansur "Manny" Zennelli, to get a glimpse into their approach to the playing and writing of their 2008 LP, "First Temple", and to ask a few questions about the life & times of the Closure boys.
For this second instalment of our Closure In Moscow deep dive, we have guitarist and all around champion, Manny, with the intro of "Vanguard". This section is a great example of Manny's capabilities in rhythmic tightness. In the book we are looking at bars 1-8, on pages 36 - 38.

And finally, Manny answers the usual round of SH questions to tie up our in depth investigation of Closure In Moscow.
And that concludes our probe into the brilliant minds of Closure In Moscow's six-stringed heroes. Whether you're an accomplished guitarist or a novice on a quest for greatness, we hope that you understand that Closure deserves a special place in both your tab book collection, and your heart.
